'Oi Hana Kai is a collaboration between the Nakoa Foundation with private and public Middle Schools located on Hawai'i Island.  It is an in-school session program that teaches students essential boat handling skills while immersing them in the practices and traditions of the traditional Hawaiian canoe.. In addition to these hands-on skills, students also explore a wide range of marine careers that are available in our community.

If your Middle School is interested in partnering with us or you would like assistance in proposing this oppurtunity to your Middle School, Please reach out through our Contact Page for more information.
